Frosty’s Favorite Front Yards Brings Holiday Cheer to The Villages – Fort Benning

The holiday season at The Villages – Fort Benning is always a special time, but this year our neighborhoods truly sparkled thanks to Frosty’s Favorite Front Yards, our annual holiday décor contest celebrating creativity, community pride, and seasonal cheer.

Designed to be inclusive and fun for all residents, Frosty’s Favorite Front Yards invited families across our villages to decorate their homes and nominate the displays that brought the most joy to their neighborhood. From glowing lights and festive inflatables to thoughtfully styled winter scenes, the Villages came alive with holiday spirit.

Community Participation at the Heart of Fort Benning Living

The contest kicked off with a week of resident nominations, followed by a community-wide voting period. Residents were encouraged to stroll through their neighborhoods, snap photos, and show appreciation for the homes that stood out. This simple act of participation helped strengthen neighbor connections and reinforced what makes living at The Villages – Fort Benning so special — a true sense of community.

By allowing residents to nominate and vote, Frosty’s Favorite Front Yards became more than a décor contest. It became a shared experience that brought military families together during one of the busiest times of year.

Celebrating Our Winners

At the conclusion of voting, two homes from each village were named winners. Each winning household received a $50 Lowe’s gift card as a thank-you for helping brighten the season and inspiring others throughout the community.

While the winners earned well-deserved recognition, every decorated home contributed to the festive atmosphere that residents and visitors alike enjoyed across Fort Benning housing this holiday season.
