Application for Other Eligible Tenants are currently paused. Applications will re-open at the end of PCS season.
How to Apply in the Future
Applying to live at The Villages at Fort Mooe is seamless. Please note there is a $50 application fee for anyone living in the home over the age of 18 and must complete their own application.
When you are ready to apply:
Gather the following supporting documents:
Proof of income (DD214, LES, pay stub, retirement statement, or VA letter)
Copy of your driver’s license
Download the application below and fill it out. Be sure to save it as “your first and last name—civilian-app.” Note that PDF works best on a desktop.
Mail, drop off, or email your completed application and supporting documents to The Villages at Fort Moore Leasing Team. (address/email below)
If you email your application, please mail or drop off the check for the application fee ($50 per household member over 18 years old) to our leasing office.
We accept personal or cashier’s checks and money orders made out to The Villages at Fort Moore.
The application is not complete without the payment of the application fee. This fee covers the Army’s background check, and upon approval, you will be put on the waitlist. Note: Active-duty personnel have priority, and wait times are estimated.

About the Military Housing Privatization Initiative
The Villages at Fort Moore is a Military Housing Privatization Initiative community. Established in 1996, the initiative was enacted to improve the lives of service men and women by providing them with high quality housing. MHPI leverages the experience and expertise of the private sector to offer updated, well-designed homes and professional, effective management services to the members of our armed forces so that they, and their families, may feel secure at home. As part of MHPI, The Villages at Fort Moore is an affordable and well-maintained housing option in the Columbus area.
